Abstract：Prefabricated building in China started later than developed countries. Compared with the world-renowned garden city Singapore, which is also an Asian country, its prefabricated building has got considerable achievements since its inception in the 1980s, and became a leading technological country in the field of prefabricated building internationally. This paper sorts out the development process of assembly buildings in Singapore, analyzes the development strategy of assembly buildings, introduces the buildable design appraisal system, and summarizes the technical characteristics and development trend of prefabricated building in Singapore. These experiences have certain reference value and significance for the development of prefabricated building in China.
