Abstract:Historical conservation performance evaluation is mainly used to study and judge the rationality and effectiveness of conservation planning preparation and implementation. Based on the logical construction of value measurement, with the methods of pilot research, structured observation and thematic interview, aiming at element measurement of historical and cultural value, social value and economic value, this paper establishes the technical framework of spatial conservation performance evaluation of historic towns, evaluates the empirical object of Longxing town in Chongqing, and explains the association mechanism of its conservation performance results. The evaluation results show that conservation implementation is more effective for the preservation of the current spatial historical and cultural value of historic towns, the actual effect of curbing the diminution of spatial social value and economic value is not ideal, and the profitability and stability of the value of each spatial unit and element are also unbalanced. The result is closely related to the current conservation system, social environment and spatial development.
