Abstract：Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the future transformation and development of hospital buildings have received continued social attention. In 2021, OMA’s short film“future hospital”questioned the mode of traditional hospital buildings, focusing on the characteristics of future hospitals in their mind: construction with automation, modularization and decentralization, layout with flexibility and growth, and most medical and material transportation replaced by science and technology. Starting from the views and problems of this film, combined with China’s national conditions and development needs, this paper discusses the future adjustment direction of hospital building system in China, puts forward the idea of adding a new type of“epidemic prevention hospital”, and makes an in-depth discussion on the problems of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system, the construction of smart hospitals, the local design of hospitals and the construction measures of green hospitals under the background of “Bicarbon”.
