Abstract：Many issues, such as lack of integration between architecture and the environment, assimilation of architectural forms and styles and so on, are becoming increasingly significant in the campus planning and architectural design of contemporary universities.This paper analyses the architectural practice of the College of Music of Hunan University of Technology, where architectural form, spatial interface and material language are used here to elaborate the architectural design concept in the perspective of topography and topological theory. It might provide some new ideas for the design of contemporary teaching buildings.
