Abstract：This paper describes the design and construction process of the T4 terminal of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. Starting from the design concept of the project, it discusses the transformation and application of the traditional architectural elements of southern Fujian province in the new transportation project, such as the dovetail ridge, the cornice, and the double curving roof. It also deliberates the innovative application of traditional roofing language, such as rule surface and diagonal roof ridge. It then reviews the process from conceptual design to design development and construction optimization, and discusses in depth the key points of design and construction of the project.
