Abstract：This paper reviews the research progress of visual effects and emotional effects of lighting, and points out the importance of evidence-based design in the study of healthy luminous environment in wards. Taking Cardiac Intensive Care Unit as an example, this paper quantifies the effects of luminous environment on patients and medical staff through current situation investigation and experimental research, so as to establish the parameters of luminous environment in wards, which not only satisfies the visual efficacy and comfort, but also promotes positive emotion. Such research is still in the initial stage in China, hoping to provide data support and design strategies for the construction and development of healthy building.
