Abstract：This paper explores the characteristics of sharing and symbiosis of sports-oriented mixed-use complex and discusses how to achieve it via several design principles. Three projects, namely Huaxi Live Sports Center, Huarun Shenzhen Bay Sports Center and L.A. LIVE serve as case studies to further explore the design principles of sports complex in China from several aspects including site selection, phased development, functional orientation, format configuration and general layout.
