Abstract：From the perspective of literature research, based on vast research results and literature, this paper points out that integrated efficiency research, which is still in the initial stage, has been of great importance to promote the medical building design in China. The latest related achievements and views are delineated and summarized into two levels: system and strategy, and their main deficiencies in the lack of systematicness and accuracy are shown through the analysis. Three main further research directions are then proposed: the first is to focus on the exploration of the“efficiency-oriented”system constitution mode; the second is to establish the overall system rules between various efficiency problems, spatial elements and integrated efficiency objective by quantitative means; and the third is to apply them to practice through the strategic system that can intervene in the design process.
