Because the domestic living environment is becoming worse, “sustainable design” has been attached more importance and building new sustainable communities has become a top priority. This paper studies Lettuce House, Shunyi District, Beijing, a sustainable living lab, and introduces sustainable design and construction system of this container modular building. Through analyzing and clarifying design concept, material selection, implementation strategies, spatial combination, physical simulation environment, construction management and other aspects of Lettuce House, it points out that the container modular housing is indeed a kind of green and low carbon, convenient mobile. It can provide a reference for the future sustainable community development.
