Abstract：The completion of architectural creation relies on the accordance of design outcomes and architect’s design intentions. Because of the systematicness and complexity of architectural creation, and the restrictions of information flow, project period, fund, construction technique and others, architectural works are often difficult to achieve the expected completion. The developed parametric design methods with strong advantages of integrity, digitization and dynamicity, have become the effective support to promote the completion of architectural creation. Based on the combination of theory and practice, this paper explicates three specific ways of improvements of integral control, design optimization and construction support. It also discusses the positive effects of parametric design on the process of architectural creation.
