Abstract：The interaction between building and environment results in the fluctuation of building energy consumption with indoor light and thermal environment. The building and environmental information should be considered in building energy-saving design. Based on the development of the building and environmental information model for office buildings in severe cold region, the integration of building, environment and performance data are achieved in building energy efficiency design. This paper first of all reviews related works in the field of building energy efficiency design model. It then presents the workflow for the information integration of building and environment. Finally, it discusses the application of building environment information model on analyzing environment information, modeling building information and simulating building performance to the office buildings in severe cold region.
