Abstract:This article focuses on an architectural work in the urban fabric of Shenzhen, Luohu Public Art Plaza designed by URBANUS. It investigates different situations after its construction based on theoretical analysis and site visit, and uncovers some essential issues over ten years from the phases of design, construction and uses in daily life. The article further explores the reasons for these issues from the perspective of program transition, principle of publicity and building renovation. It also reflects common and unique problems in the context of rapid urbanization in China.
