Abstract:The dimension of city are increasingly expanding, and the urban spaces constantly changing. However, the dimension and behavioral competences of human beings cannot be amplified with the city scale. The idea of “back to body” has been the revival of consciousness to the contemporary architecture. In the discussion of urban spaces, “microscope” means to find city details which are easily ignored, and present the subtle differences from the inside of the city via high penetrating methods and analytic techniques. Based on theoretical depth and time schedule, “microscope” can be defined in four hierarchies, that on space description, problem identification, analytic methods and problem solution.
