Abstract：The architectural space could be divided into several independent space units. Based on the connection of their functions, the independent space units are shaped and organized into a settlement-like form of architecture. This article investigates the miscellany art of space units systematically, and analyzes the prototype of space units in three patterns, including separation, superposition and nest, which could be organized into more complicated modes. Also, it discusses lots of examples on the design logic of miscellany of space units, and finally summarizes the characteristics of this design method.
