Abstract：The public rental housing is currently an important part of indemnificatory housing. It aims at solving housing problems of the “sandwich-class”. According to relevant government policies, the housing and living requirements of different groups should be considered in its design. This paper from this perspective analyzes the lifestyle and needs of young people, and puts forward several strategies for the layout design of the public rental housing for young people in order to provide useful references for future research.
