The Components and Characteristics of Public Space System Surrounding Rail Transit Hub Based on Integrated StationCity Development: A Case Study of Osaka- Umeda Hub
Abstract：Integrated station-city development is a reference model for sustainable development of Asian high density cities. In the integrated development process of OsakaUmeda hub, the three-dimensional public space system of underground, ground and skyway has been built up gradually. This system which presents hierarchical and network order, combines transportation with living demands, and matches ecological and regional context, has played a positive role in improving efficiency, optimizing order and stimulating vitality in the hub area.
