Abstract：How do people get along with architectural heritage today? In theory, some relevant laws put forward conceptual propositions like “resident participation”. In practice, some non-governmental organizations or individuals try to explore protection strategies like “public participation”, “cultural renaissance”, and “adaptive reuse”. This article studies three architectural heritage protection projects to analyze their processes and discuss the protection concepts, in order to provide more possibilities for future development.
