Abstract：As one of the classic work reflecting the functional rationality in the history of modern architecture, Gropius’ Haus Stichweh achieved perfectly the unify of architectural design and technological design. This essay aims at emphasizing the spatial features of the house and showing the house’s critical meaning to the development of modernism by offering an overall review and a deep analysis of this building and comparison of the classic houses of other three modernist masters, so that we can better understand the architectural charm of Gropius and understand its meaning to modern architecture.
