Abstract:As an interface between material circulation and energy conversion, climate responsive design of the building skin has become a new trend to reasonably address the climate change and realize low-carbon development. In terms of climate responsive building skin, this paper sets out to explicate the basic concept, and puts forward the unique operating mechanism and control system. With an systematic analysis of specific cases, the paper summarizes design strategy of climate responsive building skin in order to instruct the possible applications in building skin components and regulation and control mode.
