The Construction and Reconstitution of Public Space in the Traditional Village from the Perspective of Land Ownership: The Case of the Guifeng Village in Youxi County
Abstract:This paper studies the succession and formation of the village public space from the perspective of land ownership. Its spatial form, organizational order, boundary effect and service scope are closely related to the nature and change of land ownership. Guifeng Village has three types of public spaces, namely landscape space, neighborhood space and spiritual space, which are formed by residents’ self-organization in order to adapt to the natural environment, human life and social ethics. The policy of land “three rights division” provides an opportunity to revitalize the vacant homestead and house, and also creates the conditions for the organic renewal and reconstitution of the public space of villages. It establishes the direction of spatial layout for the rural revitalization, so as to meet the overall development needs of urban and rural areas in the new era
