Abstract：In view of the fact that regional cultural roots have not yet been fully exploited and methods of contemporary architectural translation are still immature. Based on the study of the characteristics of architectural archetypes of Wudang Buddhism, this paper discusses the contemporary inspiration of regional traditional architecture. The paper presents the discourse and analysis from three aspects: the interpretation of site and space, the abstraction of architectural prototype and the methods of contemporary architectural translation, aims to propose the contemporary translation strategy and spatial operation methods of Inner Mongolia Tibetan Buddhism Architecture, in order to provide the theoretical basis and practical foundation for the contemporary conversion of regional traditional architecture.
