Abstract：CFD simulation is an important method for the study of architectural wind environment. Based on the spatial layout of residential quarters and the characteristics of wind environment, and through CFD wind environment simulation to simplified model of enclosed residential district in the cold area, this paper elucidates the simulation method of outdoor wind environment. By comparing the simulation results of wind environment, the spatial layout of residential quarters is evaluated and the optimal planning and layout scheme is determined. At the same time, the paper summarizes a set of work plan and method of residential district planning and design based on numerical simulation of outdoor wind environment.
