Abstract：A series of measures and studies processed in Slovenia will provide an important reference for the regeneration of the urban development in China. In Ljubljana, the capital city, there are some specific differences and contradictions between City Centre, the comprising traditional districts, and BTC City, a grand shopping mall, which has experienced twice industrial transformation, and the current situation is regarded as a scar of the city for those who would not accept it. Concerning the expansion of the ABC Accelerator in the district and based on the context of the whole site, with the guidance of professors and students from four universities of China and Europe, strategies and schemes are put forward in terms of different subjects through the methods of observation and recording, interviews, semantic exploration and empirical research. In conclusion, different design thinking and methods of four teachers from varied cultures inspire the reflection on teaching approaches of architectural design courses among the involved students and tutors.
