Abstract：This paper analyzes three features of Suzhou traditional architecture, namely form, character and personality, and considers that the feature of personality occupies the unique position. Afterwards, the paper points out that the personality of the traditional architecture has been inherited in ancient city of Suzhou, through the studies on the new public buildings built after the Chinese Reform and Opening. Meanwhile, it also concludes some design strategies which have already applied in regional architecture
