Abstract：Based on the viewpoint of architectural aesthetics, Mo Bozhi’s aesthetic pursuit in the exploration of new expressionism is analyzed from three aspects: combining the cultural connotations of ancient and modern, domestic and abroad; image metaphor expressing the era’s significance; aesthetic imagination of inspiring emotional response. Also, the depth of his theoretical research, the height of the aesthetic pursuit and the breadth of practical development are summarized. Mo Bozhi’s unremitting pursuit of architectural aesthetics and adventurous exploration of cultural expression will have a positive and profound impact on the creation and research of the contemporary Lingnan Architecture School.
