Abstract：The spatial distribution of elderly living facilities has a direct impact on the convenience of aging in place and community long-term care. This paper selects Xi’an elderly care institutions, which are related to living functions, and uses two-step floating catchment area method based on geographic information system to evaluate accessibility. We suggest two principles of planning layout: one is zoning guidance and optimal layout, the other is community embedding and intensive integration, in order to provide a scientific basis for the planning of urban and rural elderly living facilities and community geriatric health promotion.
