The study shows that, affected by the “Marine Silk Road” culture, the ancient Fuzhou city experienced the “city” and “market” separation, “two cities” confrontation and the modern transformation of function. At the same time, under the influence of the Chinese traditional culture, it achieved the city pattern of “mountain-water-city” integration and places of public charm through a large-scale spatial axis, functional pattern of “three circle layers”, landscape construction showing mountain and water, and spatial system full of humanistic connotation. Contemporary planners should respect the contemporary significance of the construction experience of the Fuzhou city, and discover the connotation of the “Marine Silk Road” culture of the new age.
